WE WANT TO HELP AUTISTIC CHILDREN AND FAMILY
About Autism
Autism is a complex brain disorder that inhibits a person's ability to communicate and develop social relationships, and is often accompanied by behavioral challenges. Autism spectrum disorders are diagnosed in one in 150 children in the United States, affecting four times as many boys as girls. The prevalence of autism has increased tenfold in the last decade. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have called autism a national public health crisis whose cause and cure remain unknown.
About Impact Care Foundation
Impact Care is dedicated to increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders, to funding research into the causes, prevention and treatments for autism, and to advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. It was founded in February 2009, Mothers of a child with autism, please visit www.autismspeaks.org.
Impact Care Foundation raises funds and provides direct relief assistance to the poor, by working in partnership with other charity organizations and churches already operating in areas of need. In absence of effective organizations in the areas that need relief, ICF facilitates and delivers aid directly to the poor. In this way, the organization serves the poor with dignity and ensures the most appropriate use of donors’ funds.
Impact Care Foundation follows the principle that education and self-help must fortify charity work, so recipients learn to break the cycle of poverty and ill health caused by inhumane conditions. ICF supports programs that equip recipients with useful education and skills to eradicate illiteracy, unemployment, and develop small businesses. We also provide agricultural assistance through micro-financing to women and children.
Making them responsible citizens:
Impact Care Foundation is not just a non-governmental organization or a school of a different kind, it is the realization of a long cherished dream; it is a social movement; it is an infinite process. Our mission is to provide a quantum leap for the welfare and rehabilitation of children whose only fault is to have been born without normal faculties. Ensuring this welfare is the collective responsibility of a progressive and egalitarian society of which these children have a right to be an integral part.
Our mission is- to make our students part of the new Nigeria, which is full of aspiration and hope; to be fully equipped to overcome any problem or difficulty and to strive ahead to be useful members of the society.
